With the ex-tropical cyclone now passed and many in our community without power, The Pines Elanora will reopen today, Saturday, 8 March, from 12 PM – 5.30PM, with limited trading.
We aim to provide a safe space for those needing to recharge devices and access our free WiFi to connect with loved ones.

Please note, limited stores trading TODAY include – Kmart, Blooms Chemist, Chempro Chemist, Hanaromart, The Butchers Table, Earth Markets, Crema Espresso, Shingle Inn, Pizza Hut, Jetts Fitness (subject to change). NO Supermarkets are opening at this stage until Sunday the 9th of March. Why is the Centre open but no stores open?

With many in our community without power following ex-tropical Cyclone Alfred we aim to provide a safe space for those needing to recharge devices and access WiFi to connect with loved ones.
A small number of retailers are trading on Saturday 8 March including Kmart, Blooms Chemist, Chempro Chemist, Hanaromart, Butchers Table, Earth Markets, Crema Espresso, Shingle Inn, Pizza Hut and Jetts Fitness.

Will the Supermarkets be open?

As of 12noon Saturday 8 March, Supermarkets will not be open until Sunday 9 March.

Will more stores be opening?

Stores will re-open sporadically over the next few days as we return to normal following the impacts of ex tropical Cyclone Alfred. Store’s ability to trade will depend greatly on the safety of staff and access to stock.

Will you be open tomorrow?

Sunday 9 March the centre will be open 10am – 4pm however will remain as Optional Trade and individual trading hours may vary.
The Pines Elanora will be open as usual from 9am – 5.30pm on Monday 10 March onwards.

Is the centre at risk of flood?

The Pines Elanora is closely monitoring the Gold Coast City Council dashboard which includes a worst-case scenario flood map, highlighting the multi-level carparks as a potential risk. In line with this advice,  Lower-level carpark(s) located next to the Library (Guineas Creek Road) and opposite Woolworths (KP McGrath Drive) will be closed from 9pm on Wednesday 5 March 2025. These carparks will remain closed until the current flood warning is revised.
