THE PINES ELANORA – $50,000 INVESTED IN LOCAL JUNIOR SPORTS

The Pines Elanora this year have extended their support of local community organisations with $50,000 donated to local junior sports. After three years supporting local schools, The Pines Elanora reinvented their community support campaign as Score Big for your sports club to provide funds to 9 local junior sports. To close out the 2024 Score Big campaign, staff and players were invited to an Closing Ceremony catered by Subway where Centre Manager Hilary Jacobs presented each club with a cheque for their share of the $50,000. Thanks to an astounding community effort, this year’s first place winner was Flex Allstars receiving $16,000 towards a new sponge flooring in the gym.

The final leader board was as follows:

  • 1st Prize $16,000 – Flex Allstars
  • 2nd Prize $11,000 – Palm Beach Currumbin AFL
  • 3rd Prize $6,000 – Tugun Seahawks JRL
  • 4th Prize $4,000 – Palm Beach Soccer Club
  • 5th Prize $4,000 – Palm Beach Currumbin Basketball
  • 6th Prize $3,000 – Palm Beach Currumbin Cricket Club
  • 7th Prize $2,000 – South Coast Netball Association
  • 8th Prize $2,000 – Palm Beach Touch
  • 9th Prize $2,000 – Burleigh Bombers AFL

The donation is part of The Pines Elanora’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community. Over the years, the Shopping Centre has supported various community groups, including Palm Beach Currumbin Lions Auxiliary Club and local schools.

Brand Experience Executive, Rachel Cooper said “This community campaign was started in 2021 when our local schools were finding it hard to raise funds due to Covid. Now after three years we are moving our support to local junior sports to support the positive impact these organisations and communities have in shaping the next generation.”
